Kildare qualified for the decider with a sharp 28-9 semi final win over The Riverina Anglican College (TRAC) yesterday, while Mater Dei disposed of Kooringal High School 40-16.
Mater Dei has won the past five titles, including the last three grand finals against Kildare. But Kildare will enter the game with confidence after beating Mater Dei 21-16 in the last preliminary round.
"It's always tough against Mater Dei, they'll bring a good game. But we're looking pretty good this year, we'll be strong too," Kildare co-captain Flynn Hogg said.
"The win (against Mater Dei) gives us confidence."
In the Year 7/8 semi finals Kildare booked a spot in the final with a 33-19 win over Wagga Wagga High School, while TRAC advanced with a 37-32 victory against Mater Dei.
