Think of the overall good of the city
I've seen a lot of complaints by the NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard), including but people complaining about a possible location for grey nomads to park in Lake Albert mustn't know where the proposed site, Bosley Park.

It is on the southern side of the Country Club, between Nelson Drive and Stringy Bark Creek, between the golf course and Mater Dei High School. The nearest house in Plunkett Drive is some 400m away and Plumpton Road housing is some 600m away.
Of course I realise that the grey nomads are late night people and the noise from their loud music and booze parties could present a problem at times but we can ring the police to solve that problem can't we!
Instead of whinging "Not In My Back Yard", look at the proposal in the light of the overall good it will bring to the area and the entire city. Try telling the Boat Club it's a bad idea.

What is the local cost of the climate crisis?
The Climate Council predicts that the irrigated output of the Murray Darling Basin could halve in 30 years.
Three climate groups surveyed Riverina candidates for their response to this threat.
Michael Bayles (Greens) replied that he sought pre-selection because of his concern with these issues. He says "The Greens understand the damage that new coalmines will cause to the Great Barrier Reef, to countless jobs in the tourist industry and to the Great Artesian Basin."
Michael McCormack acknowledged that climate change requires solutions and points to the LNP 'Climate Solutions Plan' and 'Underwriting New Generation Investments Policy'. But the Plan is a downgraded version of their existing, ineffective Climate Action Plan and the 'Underwriting Policy' may include government finance for new coal fired power stations. The LNP has set a target of 26 per cent reduction of pollution from fossil fuels by 2030.
Neither Richard Foley (UAP - Clive Palmer's party) nor Mark Jeffreson (Labor) responded to the survey.
At the recent candidates' forum in Wagga, Foley did not seem convinced by the scientific evidence for rapid climate change. He suggested nuclear power as an eventual fix for renewable energy. Clive Palmer wants to open his own mine in the Galilee Basin.
Labor has a target of 45 per cent reduction in carbon pollution through a revamped NEG scheme. However, Labor has not ruled out the Adani coalmine development and has promised $1.5 billion support for gas fracking in northern Australia.

Time to wake up
With Liberals giving preference to United Australia Party is a wrong move.
The government payed workers of Queensland Nickel $70 million in pay due when the company collapsed.
Clive Palmer worked away with underhand deals to absolve himself of blame of debt owing
I have voted liberal all my life, but feel that the Liberal Party is bowing to a con man whose only interest is his own self being.
His possible power in government will be to the detriment to Australia
Wake up Liberals.
