From doctors and teachers, to engineers and those holding the fort down at home, Riverina mums are setting a shining example for the beauty of motherhood.
One mother from the Riverina, Simone Wake, took on a huge journey into the world of motherhood when she decided to foster two children four years ago.
"My husband and I couldn't have kids of our own, so we decided to look at ways we could help other kids that had no one to look after them or love them," she said.
"All children deserve to be loved and cared for."
Mrs Wake fosters siblings, a girl and a boy, and said the opportunity to be a mum to those children was life changing.
"Being a mother means the world to me. It's the most important and beautiful job that anyone could have in the whole world," she said.
"Getting to see the progress my kids make and be involved is inspiring, and to watch all their accomplishments, how much they progress and become their own person, it really is nothing short of incredible."
After four years of being a mother, Mrs Wake said she had learnt a wealth of knowledge but one lesson stood out more than most.
"It has taught me to never give up, and be patient," she said.
"Always have an open heart and never give up no matter the circumstance. Sometimes they push you away but that's when they need you the most."
Mrs Wake, her husband Rhys and their children are spending Mother's Day with sweet treats at the Junee Chocolate Factory this year to celebrate the roller coaster that is motherhood.
