The event will be run by Wagga Motorcycle Sports Club and hosted by the Riverina Thrashers, whose club member Jack Seaman said it would be a weekend of motoring excitement.
"There will be 50 plus burnout cars, and motorbike racing from juniors through to seniors, and three round of cars plus another three rounds of bikes over the night," he said.
Mr Seaman said the Burnout Party was created in Wagga, for Wagga, and expected a great turnout.
"We think we'll have about 2000-3000 people come along," he said.
"We did a little burnout event in November last year and it went well so we thought we would make it bigger and better.
"It's going to be a huge weekend."
Attendees are encouraged to bring their picnic blankets along to the $10 event and watch the action with friends and family.
"It will be a family friendly environment, we'll have food trucks and everything, and all the ticket money is going back into the venue," Mr Seaman said.
Mr Seaman said he hoped the event would encourage people to take part in motoring activities responsibly and legally.
"We want to promote people not doing this kind of stuff on the streets and give the community a safe place to do it," he said.
"The same goes for motorbikes too, they can do it on real tracks instead of reserves and streets in a safe, legal environment."
If the event at Yarragundry is a success this weekend, Mr Seaman said they planned to make it an annual show.
