Wendy Smith, from Wendy's Lifted Up By Angels, said she sells crystals, card readings and performs reiki healings.
"It's interesting how the universe works sometimes," she said. "I was in a job, that I was really quite happy in, but I ended up with a work injury and realistically the only thing I could do was run my own business to work around my health issues. I have built my business up over five years."
Ms Smith said during the past five years she has discovered her psychic ability and was grateful to her mentors who guided her.
"Crystals are carbon-based and so are we, so whenever we pick one up there is an instant connection," she said. "Some people will have a really strong connection and others not so much."
Ms Smith said she doesn't have an issue with those who don't believe, but she has seen crystals help people.
"I tend to stock everything from little crystals to the really big pieces," she said.
"When I started, I was in a really difficult position financially so I always want people to be able to afford something and take it home if they really want it.
"Crystals like amethyst and rose quartz help with people who have either experienced a break-up or who are traumatised."
Ms Smith takes responsibility when it comes to card reading very seriously.
"I get people to shuffle their own cards and choose out what they want," she said. "Then, it's already telling me a story of what is happening in their lives. People come to readings for different reasons ... I use three decks because they usually tell the same story three times over."
Ms Smith when people who see her are struggling, she always suggests seeking out a counsellor.
"I am careful with how I go about my card readings, but unfortunately there are people in this industry who only care about earning an income and I find that sad," she said.
"I would never tell someone they would have to do something after a reading. It is guidance and I always tell people they have free will and they are in charge of their own destiny."
The Wagga Spiritual and Psychic Expo is on this Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm at the Wagga Showgrounds.
