The Wagga equestrienne and 10-year-old warmblood mare Bradgate Park Delilah continue to rise through Australia's top dressage ranks.
It's unprecedented territory for the relatively inexperienced pair and Potter is definitely not getting too far ahead of herself.
Instead she's been focusing on honing their craft and hopes their results speak for themselves in the eyes of selectors.
"At the moment I've got to get some scores to warrant being part of a team," Potter said.
"I haven't been competing but just training to try and get everything better.
"Hopefully when we come out we will be able to come out with a bang, but we will see how it goes."
Potter and Bradgate Park Delilah continue to take massive steps.
Delilah was NSW medium tour horse of the year last year and was the national reserve champion of the year as well.
However the 10-year-old is a young horse by dressage standards.
It's part of the reason Potter is being cautious with her hopes as well as her plans to try to qualify for the sporting world's biggest event.
However she admitted it would be a dream come true.
Especially after being with Delilah for every step of the way.
"I've had her since she was six months old and have done everything with her," Potter said.
"If it comes off it will be a great story and it is one of those fairy tale stories for a country person's point of view."
Potter is looking to focus on the NSW state titles and national championship later in the year on her bid to impress selectors ahead of the Olympics in July next year.
