An estimated 2500 people walked through the doors on Saturday alone to be first in line to browse through 50,000 donated books along with DVDs, CDs and vinyl records.
Book Fair committee member Graham Russell said the annual event served as the club's main fundraiser and the money raised would go towards community projects.
"The fiction section is always popular and it take up about half the floor space," he said.
"There's a lot of people browsing through the music section despite how much of it is online these days.
"The fair keeps attracting more and more people as you can get a year's reading for not much money."
Margaret Everett, from Wagga, said she always went to the fair as it was a "family friendly event".
"What's not to love about books?" she said.
Mrs Everett attended with her granddaughters Evie, aged 9 and Mila, aged 6, to pick up some children's chapter books and book for their mum.
Mr Russell thanked the public, sponsors and volunteers for their support.
The Book Fair will run until 3pm on Sunday at Wagga Showgrounds Kyeamba Smith Hall with entry $2 and children admitted free.
