Despite being without star Nick Hull at Gumly on Saturday, the Hawks got out to a three-goal lead by quarter-time and steadily built on it for their fourth straight win, 14.10 (94) to 6.7 (43).
Barellan were held to a goal a quarter until the last term but kicking five behinds in the second didn't help their cause.
After last week's get-out-of-jail win at North Wagga, coach Matt Hard said it was a pleasing effort.
"I saw glimpses of improvement although we weren't consistent over four quarters but there were some good passages," Hard said.
"I was happy that different people stood up at different times, that was the beauty of it.
"We're still chipping away but we've got some improving to do."
Daniel Hitchens continues to show the value of his addition to the side, kicking four goals in a strong display while Harry Fitzsimmons was strong at the contest (and kicked two goals) and Kyle North-Flanagan played a strong game in the ruck.
Chris Ladhams also kicked four goals for the Hawks.
The Two Blues were well served by Kabe Stockton, Max Finlay, Matt Irvin and Shaun Allan. They head to Coleambally next week in search of their first win.
East Wagga-Kooringal - who hold top spot from Temora on percentage - are at home to CSU.
