About 7500 of the venue's 10,300 capacity were purchased as of late Thursday afternoon, with officials hopeful of a sell-out to eclipse the 9,127 which attended City-Country in 2015.
"All ticket categories will be $5 dearer at the gate, so we would encourage people to get to the visitor information centre or Oasis aquatic centre over the next day to get tickets so they don't have to line up at the ground," Wagga Council's strategic asset planner for parks and recreation Ben Creighton said.
"We'll be close (to a sell-out). It's hard to say with the weather but it's looking really good for Saturday.
"The capacity of the venue is 10,300 this year and that's based around some of the improvements we've completed with the seating areas.
Tickets will be available from the Raiders tent at the Wagga Cup on Friday.
