Reddies jumped out to an early 7-0 lead and went into the break locked at 7-all before the Bulls started to get charging.
CSU weren't helped by a straight red to Darryl Charles in the second half, assisting Tumut's 24-7 win.
While pleased with another victory, Tumut coach Morgan Grivas thought his side failed to take their opportunities.
"We really allowed Reddies to control possession through the first half hour," Grivas said.
"Before the bye we took the opportunities we got and we didn't do that early, we made a few errors and our discipline wasn't what is should have been.
"We went to half-time with a real fight on our hands."
Grivas was pleased with how they responded to go clear at the top of the ladder as the competition's only undefeated side.
Tries to Stuart Govern, Will McLennan-Dye and Will Kingwill in the space of 10 minutes had them well on the way to victory before a scrappy end to the clash.
"Coming out of half-time we were able to put those three quick tries on to reassert some control but unfortunately through the last 20 minutes the game got back into the rough and tumbled and we weren't able to go on with it, but I'm happy that when we needed to we were able to knuckle down and do some hard work."
Charles will now head to the judiciary after getting his marching orders following a scuffle.
CSU are still yet to win this season, but the result will be another confidence booster for the club.
