Wagga City Council has been handed a petition with 26 signatures calling for assistance with parking availability on Parkhurst Street.
Wagga councillors are due to vote on receiving the petition on Monday night and refer the issue to the council's next Traffic Committee meeting.
"The petition details the difficulties experienced by residents in respect to parking along Parkhurst Street with a request made for the southern side of Parkhurst Street to be restricted to residents and their guests," a report to councillors stated.
"There was also a proposed short-term solution made that an area behind Red Hill Primary School, that is currently dedicated as parkland, be utilised as designated parking.
"The request will be investigated and a further report provided to Council for consideration."
The street runs along the edge of Red Hill Public School with 15 housing lots mostly on on the southern side and ends in a turning loop.
