Waller won his second Wagga Gold Cup last year with Life Less Ordinary and expects to nominate as many as five from his stable for next week's edition.
Just weeks after farewelling the legendary Winx, the Waller stable will send a team to Wagga in a bid to land another Gold Cup.
Among Waller's candidates are expected to be import Abdon, owned by Richard Pegum and Hogmanay, who finished fifth in the Anzac Day Cup at Randwick yesterday.
Waller's business manager Liam Prior said the stable will be well represented at the Wagga carnival.
"It's a terrific carnival, the benchmark NSW country cup carnival," Prior said.
"We love attending and as always will be strongly represented.
"We have an eye on an undercard event and may also look at other options over the two days."
There will be no shortage of big names among the nominations, when they are released on Friday morning.
Anthony Freedman, who won the 2017 Wagga Town Plate with Santa Ana Lane, is planning to bring last-start Easter Cup winner at Caulfield, Plein Ciel, for the Cup.
Winner of the Les Carlyon at Flemington on Thursday, the Matthew Dale-trained Dark Eyes, is also expected to be Wagga bound, as is second placegetter Spunlago.
Last year's Albury Gold Cup winner, Willi Willi, is being aimed at the Wagga feature, while Sydney trainer David Pfieffer plans to bring another team back after last year's success.
A number of the country's leading jockeys will ride at the carnival with Tommy Berry, Tim Clark, Glyn Schofield, Jason Collett and Kathy O'Hara among those set to vie for the inaugural Tye Angland Medal.
Murrumbidgee Turf Club chief executive Steve Keene said early indications suggest it will be two cracking days of racing.
"We're really happy with how it's looking," Keene said.
"There has been really good interest from both sides of the border, Melbourne and Sydney, to compliment the local stars going around."
