The premiership-winning captain-coach hasn't played since rupturing his patella tendon in round one last season, but is set to come off the bench when Gundagai takes on Kangaroos at Anzac Park on Sunday.
The 29-year-old played less than a half of football in the Tigers' 2018 premiership year and can't wait to get back on the field.
"It's been very long process," Woo said.
"It's over 12 months now since my last game with a lot of rehab and physio, but it is good to be ready to play again as I've been looking forward to it for a long time."
It's been a hard way back for the tough as teak second rower.
He spent three months in a brace following surgery before undergoing eight months of rehabilitation.
Looking to get his strength back not only in the injured tendon but also in his quadriceps, Woo has been working with a physiotherapist in Wagga plus brought in a sports conditioner from Melbourne to create a program to help get him back on the field.
"A ruptured patella tendon is a pretty tough one to come back from," Woo said.
"It was an eight-month rehab program gradually building into being able to play again, getting used to contact as when you rupture your tendon your quad muscle just depletes.
"There was a lot of work to get the strength back into the muscles in the leg plus strengthen the tendons.
"It was a long process, the rehab was pretty intense and there was a lot of it but I've finally got the all clear now and I can't wait."
Woo started pre-season when the Tigers did, which just adds to the build up to the clash.
He doesn't expect to play big minutes after a discussion with coach Adam Perry, but is still looking to make his presence felt.
"I feel like I've got confidence in it, I've been doing contact with Gundagai for just over a month now, but you as much as you want to you can't prepare for that game-like setting just through training," Woo said.
"It will be good to get out there and get a few minutes under my belt."
Kangaroos come in after two straight wins to start the season while Gundagai have been very up and down.
They are yet to taste defeat either after a draw with Albury to start the season before almost letting a big lead slip against Young before the Easter break.
Woo expects it will be a big game for the club.
"They are going in at 2-0 and seem like they are going pretty well while we have been pretty patchy," he said.
"We will definitely need to be playing our best footy.
"We've had glimpses of our best footy and times where we've just switched off.
"Hopefully Roos will give us a good indication of where we are at."
Kangaroos coach Glenn Dumbrell hasn't been named to play after suffering an ankle injury in round one although big recruit Saul Houma has after missing the win over Cootamundra before the Easter break.
