Hanwood has made a solid start to the season starting with an 8-0 win over South Wagga before picking up a goalless draw against Young Lions before the Easter weekend.
Coach Anthony Agresta has been pleased with his sides start to the season.
"Considering we were preparing to start the season in May and then given a week to prepare to play our first game in Wagga I think we have gone pretty well," he said.
"We haven't lost a game, so that is a positive, but for us right now it is about finding our feet.
"Every week is a different challenge against a new opponent, so for us, it is about picking up points to stay in the fight for a top four or top two positions."
This weekend will see a the Hanwood side playing under lights at Rawlings Park, and Agresta said it might bring a welcome change for the side.
"It doesn't change too much, but it might at least be a bit cooler," he said.
"It has been pretty warm for the two Sunday afternoon games that we have played, and I think you could tell the players were a bit flatter because of it. I think it being a bit cooler will help us a bit."
The Hanwood coach knows that Henwood will be a fierce opposition this weekend.
"We played each other in a preseason game last year, but plenty has changed since then," he said.
"We have had a fair bit of turnover, and I think they have as well. They are still one of the stronger clubs in Wagga, so we will be in for a tough battle."
Henwood Park sits just behind Hanwood on the table in fifth position having started the season with a 4-3 win over Young before falling to Wagga United in a tight 2-1 defeat.
Knowing that it is going to be a tight game heading in full strength is precisely what Agresta would have wanted.
"Anthony has pulled up alright after getting taken off as a precaution last time out," he said. "At this stage, it should be a pretty strong side."
The game will get underway at Rawlings Park 1 at 7pm on Saturday.
