Muir injured his shoulder in the round one clash against Wagga Tigers two weeks ago in what was his coaching debut for the Crows.
While disappointed, he said the challenge now was to regroup and lead the team from the sidelines.
This weekend Leeton-Whitton will travel to Narrandera where they will be aiming for their first win of the season.
"Obviously the boys were disappointed in their performance in round one," Muir said.
"It wasn't the performance we wanted to put in as a club and as a team, but we've responded well as a group.

"We've trained really well in the last two weeks. We're getting back to basics and focusing on how we want to play football."
Narrandera will also be hunting for their first victory of the new season after they went down to Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong by 55 points in round one.
The Eagles' home turf is a ground where the Crows have traditionally played well on, especially in recent years.
Muir is confident his young squad will again use that field to their advantage on Saturday afternoon.
"The big open spaces suit our game plan," he said.
"It gives our young, fit players to run and lead.
"That's the mentality we'll be going in with, knowing we've played pretty good football in the past there."
Muir said he will likely be one of the only changes heading into Saturday's match, but did say there was several players pushing for senior selection.
"There's a few who might come back in that weren't available in round one, we'll just have to see what happens," he said.
With Narrandera an unknown quantity at this early point in the season, Muir was hopeful the Crows would concentrate on their own style of play and move on from their first-round loss.
"I think if we can get a win this weekend and start building over the next four or five weeks, we'll be in good shape," he said.
