The Murrumbidgee Turf Club was transformed into two-kilometre running track featuring hurdles, tyres, nets to crawl under and areas where participants were bombarded with coloured powder.
Henschke Primary School assistant principal Maria Emery said 730 participants had signed up.
"That includes parents, students, friends, grandmas and grandpas from all walks of life," she said.
"We want to promote a healthy and active lifestyle with our children and we thought it was a good way to bring our school community together.
"It's a nice family day out."
Participants started out in white shirts and protective glasses.
The Colour Run replaced the school's Fete this year as a major fundraising event.
"We normally have very successful fetes but they are difficult events to organise, so we decided this year we should have a colour run," she said.
"All funds raised will go towards technology across the school," Mrs Emery said.
The Colour Run also featured a climbing wall, an AFL clinic, raffle draws and a Zumba clinic.
