Named the under 19 player of the year on Wednesday night, the South Wagga young gun is expected to have a big role up against Wagga City at Robertson Oval.
Not only is he set to bat at number three for the Blues, but after picking up the key wicket of David Bolton early is in line to open the bowling as well.
He is looking to make the most of it.
Harper made an unbeaten century to guide the Blues home in an epic run chase against Wagga RSL but hasn't fired so far in the finals series.
It is something he's looking to change against Wagga City.
"The wicket was good but in the first two finals I haven't done much with the bat," Harper said.
"I've had a 11 and a one so I'm looking to try and get some runs this weekend.
"And a couple of wickets as well to try and bowl them out.
"That's what we are going to have to do if we are to win."
The 111 not out has been the highlight of the season but Harper also made 53 against Lake Albert plus an unbeaten 61 against Kooringal Colts in the first match of the season.
Overall he's made 412 at an average of 37.5 plus taken five wickets.
Harper is one of the new faces in South Wagga's grand final side this season.
He didn't play cricket at all last year, preferring to concentrate on representative football commitments, but has enjoyed being back at the Blues.
"I had the Giants and said I would have a year off cricket to concentrate on footy and see how we go there," Harper said.
"I got cut from the Giants and didn't make it to phase three so then I played for Collingullie and said I would play cricket again.
"I've really enjoyed being back and have loved my cricket this year.
"I don't put as much pressure on myself as I used to and loved my cricket more than I have in recent years."
He's also gunning for a second title in a year.
Harper was part of Collingullie-Glenfield Park's premiership in the Riverina League in September.
More grand final success would top of a big season for the 18-year-old.
"It would be great if we could win this year," Harper said.
"Being the centenary year as well.
"After winning the football last year winning the cricket last year would top it all off."
Finishing equal fifth in the Brian Lawrence Medal count, Harper was the highest Blues player in the best and fairest count.
It helped him take out the under 19s honour, something he was pretty pleased with.
"It was pretty good actually and it was a bit of a shock," Harper said.
"I knew I had not too bad of a season but when I heard I got the 19s player of the year and get in the team of year it was nice."
