The premier grade will play in the new three-court indoor stadium at Equex Centre.
It's hoped the change will lead to an expansion of their top flight competition.
"We're moving A Grade to a Wednesday night competition, starting at 6 o'clock," Wagga Netball president Rosemary Clarke said.
"We can hold three games in each time slot in there.
"We've been talking about it for a while and hoping that the stadium would be ready and completed.
"We're hoping at the moment, our fingers are crossed, that we may have three or more new teams."
The A Grade league featured six teams last year. This year's competition is due to start on Wednesday May 8, after the first weekend of Wagga Netball's Saturday competitions.
The switch will also ease some of the congestion around the sport for senior players.
With the Farrer and Riverina Football and Netball Leagues playing almost all of their games on Saturday afternoons, Wagga Netball's marquee competition will stand alone in its new midweek time slot.
"It enables A Grade players to play in both competitions and hopefully in the future some other teams might come into our comp," Clarke said.
"Any idea to grow netball in the whole area is what's important."
A shift away from cold Saturday evenings on an outdoor court to the luxury of a new state-of-the-art indoor venue is enough to warm the hearts of any sportsperson.
"The girls can't wait to play in there, even A Grade. It's been a long wait," Clarke said.
"We're quite excited to have it open and can't wait to use it across the board."
Wagga Netball contributed $250,000 in funding for the stadium.
It will hire the court for widespread use on Saturdays as well as Wednesday nights to ensure players in all grades get to enjoy the $9.2 million venue.
It's ruled out charging players additional fees for the experience.
"No, we looked at that but the delegates and the executive have said we'll look after that this year so there's no cost to the players playing on those courts on the Wednesday and Saturday," Clarke said.
