The refurbishment for the two-storey building located on Hammond Avenue is expected to cost $250,000.
According to the development application, the current gaming room's roof and canopy roof over the beer garden will be demolished and replaced with a new roof that will extend to create a covered walkway to the car park.
New female toilets located in the games room will be constructed and a new entry foyer from the car park will be created.
It is hoped the construction will not only boost business but also create employment opportunities for the region.
The proposed alterations to the northern facade remove the existing pitched canopy over the beer garden and provide a "better" presentation of the gaming facade which will sit adjacent to the original tiled roof of the building.
The materials and finishes to the refurbishment are expected to compliment the original building and surrounding landscape.
The Daily Advertiser contacted the Farmers Home Hotel owner Sean O'Hara several times but he did not respond to requests.
