Students from the Wagga school won three of the six age championships and provided four of the six record broken.
Ben Devries took five seconds off the senior boys 200m individual medley record, which had stood since 2005, while Alethea Levy was the only multiple record breaker, setting new times in the 11 years girls 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke records.
With carnival combining for the first time so too did the records making it tough for students to set new mark.
However the change of tact provided to be a success.
Carnival co-convenor Anthony Hood was pleased with how the day unfolded.
"It was a great success and there are great opportunities for the students now with stronger competition," Hood said.
Wagga City won the deanery school competition with Trinity Anglican College in Albury claiming the independent schools honour.
