The tiles outside Wagga Marketplace have been painted to look like a rainbow in the leadup to the city's first ever Mardi Gras.
Spokesperson Caitlin Howell said implementing the rainbow crossing right at the door and where the parade will run is the perfect way to support Wagga Pride.
"It is a simple symbolic step we took to embrace equality," she said.
"The crossing will definitely be installed for another few weeks giving patrons plenty of time to come down and snap a photo.
"We look forward to implementing this yearly along with other activation to support the Wagga Mardi Gras festival."
Ms Howell said it has been great to see residents embrace this by coming down to Wagga Marketplace and taking a photo at or on the crossing.
"It is a very exciting time for Wagga and the LGBTIQ community," she said.
"We look forward to growing our relationship with Wagga Mardi Gras and are excited to be a part of the festival in years to come."
