Bergman brought up his third win in four starts with success at the Hobrook Triathlon on Sunday.
He was second in his first attempt at the multisport event at Ganmain last month before wins at Temora in the sprint event, The Rock and now Holbrook.
The 21-year-old radiography student is thrilled with how well he's started the sport.
"I'm really happy with the outcome (on Sunday) and the progress throughout the rest of the series," Bergman said.
"Ganmain was my first triathlon so I am very new to the sport and used the Riverina series to build some experience and get a taste for triathlon."
After moving to Wagga from Burnie, Tasmania two years ago for study Bergman has expanded his horizons.
Coming from a cycling background, he tries to use it to his advantage in his races.
"The bike leg is the one I try to get a good time advantage and count the losses on the run and try to hold them off," Bergman said.
It certainly worked on Sunday after sitting just off the pace after the initial 1.5km run.
He was fastest on the bike my over a minute and was one of only two competitors to break two minutes for the swim.
Bergman went on to down Troy Hitchon by almost 2½ minutes after stopping the clock in 47.18 minutes.
Jackson Tenhave was third.
His consistent performances will earn him $1000 for taking out the series.
Briony Mazzocchi also can't be run down in the women's event.
She brought up another win at Holbrook and was eighth across the line overall.
Mazzocchi isn't expected to line up in the last leg at West Wyalong on March 24 however Bergman is looking to end on a high.
Tri Series committee member, and winner of the Temora's Olympic distance event, Angus Westaway has been impressed with Bergman's performances so far.
"He's really coming along and leaps and bounds," Westaway said.
"It's good to see a young kid coming straight into triathlons and performing very well."
Participation numbers continue to increase and Westaway is hopeful more towns will come on board and run events next year.
