He will provide a personal reflection on his journey from Albury boy to curator of the online History of First Peoples entries in the Sydney Mardi Gras parade. Bishop will bring focus to the value of Mardi Gras parades to coincide with Wagga Wagga’s inaugural event.
On International Women’s Day, the gallery will launch a suite of five exhibitions including Sarah McEwan’s exhibition Feelings from Bodies, works by some of Australia’s leading female artists are presented in Moving Histories // Future Projections and Daniel Crooks’ latest video work is also on view. Wagga-born artist Ruth Cummins contemporary textile works are also exhibited along with Glenda Mackay’s locally inspired assemblages and the 2018 National Contemporary Jewellery Award finalists.
Sandigo artist Sarah McEwan has captured the voices of 50 anonymous survey participants to create her new exhibition, Feelings from Bodies, with a performance on opening night.
Moving Histories // Future Projections brings together leading female contemporary artists, while Daniel Crooks’ startling video work High Street (after Ruscha) is on view in The Channel. This work investigates the increasing gentrification of the artist’s local neighbourhood of High Street, Preston.

Rutherglen-based artist Glenda Mackay’s exhibition Home, Land, Security will open in the E3 art space.
