Four Ashmont Public School students booked their place at district with impressive performances during the school's swimming carnival at Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre on Tuesday.

Riley Cavanough qualified for both the 8-10 years boys 50 metres backstroke and 50 metres freestyle after swimming under the qualifying time.
Kelsie Clarke was under the time in the 8-10 years girls 50 metres breaststroke while both Macey Clark and Shakyla Ede qualified in the 12 years girls freestyle.
They were some of the better performed students on the day.
Age champions were not available.
However swimming carnival organiser Julie Sinclair was thrilled with the how well the day went.
"It went really well," Sinclair said.
"We had everyone join in and there were no dramas at all."
Students from Mount Austin High School were on hand to help with the running of the event.
Sinclair was amazed and very appreciative of their efforts to ensure the carnival ran smoothly.
"The Mount Austin kids that we had were fantastic," she said.
"They came out and did the timing and I rang the teacher to tell her just how good they were.
"Nothing was too much bother for them."
