Whether you’re in a relationship, still looking for the one or quite happy with your own (or pet’s) company, we have the top list of ways to spend your Valentine’s Day around Wagga.
1. Date Night
5:30pm-10:00pm, Wagga Civic Centre
After a successful first year in 2018, the council-run ‘Date Night’ event is returning for a second round. The event sees the Art Gallery, City Library, Museum and Civic Theatre transform into a hub of pop-up food, wine, bars and live entertainment for couples to enjoy the romance, or singles to mingle. The night ends with a screening of the film When Harry Met Sally as the sun sets.
2. Trivia with Dane Simpson
7:30pm-9:00pm, Thirsty Crow
Valentine’s Day can be the opposite of romantic for many of us, and a good laugh is sometimes all we need. Head down to the Thirsty Crow for their Summer Series trivia with local comedian Dane Simpson. Grab a group of mates and put your knowledge to the test, have a few beers and a good meal, and laugh the night away.
3. Bewitched at Roseleigh
Evening, Roseleigh the Witchery
At $60 a head, splurge on you and your partner this Valentine’s Day with a magical food and sensory experience. Enjoy a unique menu crafted using herbs and spices tailored to the emotions of love and lust and see where the night takes you.
4. Picnic at the Beach
Morning, Wagga Beach
It’a easy to forget the beautiful scenery surrounding you everyday in Wagga, so take a picnic breakfast with fresh fruit from the Producers’ Market, bagels and maybe even some sneaky mimosas, and head down to Wagga Beach so sit by the water and watch the morning go by. Stretch your legs to walk off those choc-dipped strawberries and take a stroll around the river with your significant other.
5. Peter Williams Live
7:00pm-10:00pm, Wagga RSL Club Motel
The popular psychic-medium is coming to Wagga for the first time on Valentine’s Day to wow the crowd with his ability to communicate with loved ones beyond the grave, bringing energy, respect and humour to his performances. The show will leave you feeling positive, up-lifted and hopefully not too frightened – but if you are, you can always seek comfort in your significant other’s arms.
