The Saints drew with competition leaders, South Wagga Warriors last round and will be brimful of confidence when they take to the diamond against Turvey Park, whose last start game produced a three-run loss to the Warriors.
Saints’ Kadison Hofert showed the way with the bat against the Warriors and will be looked to to repeat her efforts.
Others expected to perform well in offence are Desi Calder, Tessa McGlynn and Rochelle Harley, while Gemma McGlynn, Paula Potts and Pam Calder are all capable of safe hits.
Turvey Park’s last loss was more a case of untidy fielding which allowed their opponents to capitalise.
If their defence can play to its potential, and keep the Saints to a small total, the Turvey bats led by Amanda Gooden and supported by Julie-Ann Hallam, Belinda Dennis and Jade Olsen might hit a winning score.
There’s every chance that these two teams could meet again in the final series, so both teams will be out to gain a psychological edge by winning Saturday’s fixture.
