Nikia Bamblett, 24, and Hunter Green, 29, appeared in Wagga District Court on Friday to be sentenced for the offences of domestic-related special aggravated kidnapping and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Both were committed to trial on June 20, 2018.
Statements of fact tendered in court state that the victim, in his late 40s, was detained with intentions of obtaining information about stolen property and psychological gratification.
The victim sustained serious head injuries from Mr Bamblett and Ms Green, requiring surgery in Sydney.
In court on Friday, submissions made included the moral culpability and mental health issues of the offenders and the lasting impact on the victim.
The victim also appeared in court on Friday. He chose not to read out his victim impact statement.
Mr Bamblett and Ms Green are scheduled to re-appear in court on February 28 when Judge Gordon Lerve delivers his sentences.
