Now a music video, inspired by the movie La La Land and featuring many residents, is being created. While the final touches are being put on the clip, the “behind the scenes” footage has been shared on the quest’s Facebook page.
The goal is to spread the word as far as possible in the bid to encourage more GPs into Temora.
Rachel Christmas, a Temora GP with long-standing family ties in the area, said the idea was to keep the momentum building, to keep spreading the word and make Temora “stand out”.
Two doctors, each working part time, have recently joined the Temora practice, but Dr Christmas said more were still needed to serve the community.
“If we could get two more female GPs and one male, that would be just wonderful,” she said.
Temora mayor Rick Firman said the community was embracing the unusual approach to attracting new doctors.
“It’s certainly been creating a bit of interest,” Councillor Firman said.
“They’re trying something unique.”
