It has been almost the perfect start for Squaw Valley’s racing career with current trainer Norm Loy and if the galloper happens to win again at Wagga on Monday, the Country Championships could come into consideration.

Squaw Valley has won two of his three starts for Loy with a sixth at Sandown in between.
The lightly raced galloper will step up in grade again for the Wagga Scamper (1000m) where he has drawn barrier two.
The heat of the Country Championships will be held at Albury on February 23 and will be run over 1400 metres.
“If he settles back and runs to the finish line like he has been then the Championships at home could be considered,” Loy said.
“The Albury track has been perfect for him so this is another test at Wagga.
“But I’m sure if he races like he has been then he will be hard to beat.”
Squaw Valley has raced six times for three wins and has been kept to sprint distances winning over 900 and 1000 metres.
Loy has trained three winners at Albury in the past six weeks and said his results had a lot to do with having the right horses to be competitive.
“Squaw Valley is a nice horse and so is Waiting For A Mate who has won at Albury in that time.”
The top weight Up Trumpz is resuming from a spell and will have 61 kilograms from barrier six.
Up Trumpz has won three times from five starts at Wagga and has raced in better company during his juvenile starts.
Wodonga galloper Jester Angel recently broke the class record winning at Corowa at her first start for trainer Heath Maclean and is another of the main contenders after running a sizzling 56.04 seconds.
