Aylett, 26, has spent the last three seasons at VFL club Werribee, where he comes off his best season of 18 games in 2018.
The injury-plagued midfielder previously spent two years on Essendon’s list in 2014-15 after being traded from Greater Western Sydney (GWS).
Aylett managed three AFL games during his time at the top level. He made his AFL debut for the Giants in 2012, then played another two AFL games for Essendon in 2014.
Aylett’s time at Werribee was plagued by injuries, including an ankle reconstruction in 2016, but he finally got some continuity last year and featured in the club’s best on nine occasions from 18 games.
