The award recognises Aboriginal women in New South Wales who have excelled in their chosen career, field or passion.
These women are exceptional achievers who have promoted economic, cultural or social opportunities for Aboriginal people in New South Wales.
Whyman, who currently plays for Western Sydney Wanderers in the W-League, is nominated alongside Associate Professor Faye McMillan, Jeanette Crew and Sharlene McKenzie.
Whyman has been a long-time advocate for women in sport and indigenous representation.
She was also selected to tour with the Matildas through Europe last year.
