The 15-year-old had to play four matches on Friday and Saturday before going on to take out the prize.
Combining with Gunnedah’s Aaron Osmond, the pair didn’t drop a set for the tournament.
However Hemmings was convincingly beaten by top seed Aidan Vaughan in the singles final, but recovered to take the doubles crown.
Looking to take his tennis to the next level, Hemmings will move to Canberra next month.
He’s secured a placed at the National Tennis Centre and will train under Todd Larkham and Nathan Price ans attend Lyneham High School.
