Murrumbidgee Turf Club will host non-raceday trials at Wagga with 32 horses set to compete over four trials.
Among the horses down to trial in the last event at 10.30am are Forever Newyork, Lady Mironton and Tully Toff.
The Gary Colvin-trained Forever Newyork and Tully Toff are both last start winners, while Wayne Carroll’s Lady Mironton has not been sighted since finishing down the track in the Highway Handicap at Rosehill in November.
Also in the heat is talented sprinter Takookacod, who has not raced since last year’s Wagga Town Plate when she was sixth behind Coolring.
The Southern District heat of the Country Championships (1400m) will be held at Albury on Saturday, February 23.
Wagga trainer Trevor Sutherland will lead the charge at the trials with nine horses engaged.
