A man has been charged with multiple offences over an alleged break and enter and assault in Wagga yesterday.

Police have been told about 12.30am on Friday, a 42-year-old man forced his way into a home on Phillip Avenue, Mount Austin before confronting the residents – a 52-year-old man and two women, aged 46 and 26.
The two men were allegedly involved in an physical altercation that left both with serious head injuries.
The 46-year-old woman also sustained minor injuries to her face.
The 52-year-old man was in a critical condition and flown to Canberra Hospital for further treatment.
The 42-year-old man was treated at Wagga Base Hospital while under police guard.
Officers from Riverina Police District established a crime scene and began an investigation.
Following inquiries, the 42-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station where he was charged with the following:
- Aggravated break, enter and steal and commit serious indictable offence – inflict actual bodily harm
- Common assault
- Cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent and destroy or damage property.
He was refused bail to appear at Wagga Bail Court today.
