Red River Glacier proved too strong in front of a bumper crowd at Albury to take out the New Year’s Eve Cup.
Leading all the way, the seven-year-old held off a late challenge from Million Dollar Gem to take out the feature race.

Coleambally trainer-driver Ellen Bartley kicked things off by taking out the opening race by 31.1 metres.
New acquisition So Kool Master proved to be in a class of his own, after making a mid-race move to take out the TAB Pace from Soho Beijing.
After taking over the training with Rodney Crowe on holidays, Bartley was thrilled to take such a big victory.
“I once won by 53m, it was a thrill just to enjoy the home straight and listening to the crowd and not worry about anyone around you,” Bartley said.

The Victorian visitor proved way too strong for her rivals to win by 12.6 metres for trainer-driver David Jack.

Reinsman James McPherson had to take quick action to correct the five-year-old as almost through away a massive advantage.
However he got back down pacing and still went on to take out the Bradys Hotel Albury Local Pace for his sister Brooke.
