The Albury apprentice combined with four different trainers on the seven-race card.
After Dangerous Hostess was scratched at the barriers in the first race, McDougall kicked his winning run off in the second with The Raven for Wangaratta trainer Dan McCarthy, who won at Moonee Valley with Ashlor on Saturday.
He won his second race with Jester Angel for Wodonga trainer Heath Maclean in the open handicap sprint before making it a running double aboard Corazon de Oro for Wagga trainer Chris Heywood.
Corazon de Oro brought up his first win in over a year to justify his favouritism.
McDougall then went one better than his efforts at Albury earlier in the month to take out the last with Thunder Tub for Albury trainer Donna Scott.
Gundagai kick starts racing in the Southern Districts for 2019 with their traditional New Year’s Day meeting.
