What was planned to be a night feature meeting will now start at 10.05am as officials look to limit the affect of the forecast top of 42 degrees.
It will mean an early start for Cowra trainer Rodney McDonald who qualified five runners in the New Year Cup.
McDonald scored quinellas in two of the three heats on Friday night.
Hide The Kitty and Dana Snow finished one-two in the first heat before Take The Apache and Dana Fred repeated the dose in the second.
Getalong Dana also qualified for the final after finishing third behind the Mitch Williams-trained Indigo Summer and Garry Anesbury’s Ninja Sloy in the third heat.
The $1250-to-the-winner final will be run at 11.43am while the heat race, while Brian Honey’s Lace Monster proved too strong in the Leo Hartley Memorial heat on Friday.
She’s drawn box five as she chases the $3000 first prize on Friday.
