NEW ramps at the Lake Talbot Pool Complex make the facilities more accessible to all. With community support, this was a clear priority by Council when developing the Pool Master Plan. Landscaping will be completed after summer in the cooler weather. Regardless of age or whether you wish to work off excess energy or relax into your latest book, it’s a great environment for youngsters and older community members.

ALICE in Wonderland was performed twice on successive night by students of St Joseph’s Primary School in Narrandera. It was a wonderful production in every respect, held in the school’s John O’Brien Hall, which was packed on both nights. Those who congregated after the show had to remind themselves that these accomplished performances were by local primary school children, not by professional actors.
Congratulations to the children, the teachers and the parents on an amazing evening. For three dollars we got to watch the show, go away with a program to relive the experience, and marvel at the talent.

VEGETATION harvesting in Lake Talbot is being carried out by professions engaged by Narrandera Shire Council. Currently, pond weeds (curly leaf and floating), ribbon weed, water thyme and duck weeds are contributors to the vegetative growth.
As the lake is used constantly during the summer, the time is right. Harvested material is being transferred to a central island where it breaks down naturally.
