In a typical year, December 25 registers a dry and sunny 29.5 degrees.
But this year, the big day will reach up to 36 degrees.
Following the higher than ordinary daytime temperature, the night will measure a low of 19 degrees.
Sunday will be the last of the regular temperatures, reaching a top of 29 before climbing towards the week’s warmest day on December 26.
Boxing Day will fall to 20 degrees overnight before hitting 38 during the day.
“In many ways, we’re looking at a typical summer’s week, just a little warmer than we usually get this time of year,” said Wagga Bureau of Metereology technician Nigel Smedley.
The week is also expected to lack any noticeable humidity, with a very low chance of rain estimated for the weekend.
“I’d say it’ll be one of those weeks to stay inside under the air conditioner or get by the river,” said Mr Smedley.
