With Sam Stephens and Callum Langlands unavailable, coach Daryl Tuffey’s embarrassment of riches has never been more evident with the experienced duo coming into the line-up.
“Everyone is keen to play,” Tuffey said.
“With Sam and Callum unavailable we’re lucky to have two in-form players like Cam and Sam put their hand up. Cam’s just made the NSW Country side and Sam is the top five runscorers in the competition.
“I don’t know a lot about Ardlethan-Barellan but we certainly won’t be taking them lightly.”
The winner of the O’Farrell Cup clash will play their next game on January 14.
Ardlethan-Barellan’s most recent run of success came in 2004 when they won four matches.
The association won the cup by beating Griffith by 23 runs, then beat Young by nine wickets, Holbrook by 150 runs and Temora by 29 runs.
The victory over Temora was its last win in the competition.
“Everyone enjoyed the Holbrook game and we’re keen to stay in the competition for as long as we can,” Tuffey said.
CAW’s batting depth is set to provide Ardlethan-Barellan with plenty of headaches with St Patrick’s all-rounder Kane Arendracikas set to bat as low as nine.
The match kicks off at 10.30am.
The CAW team is: BJ Garvey, M. Crawshaw, J. Craig, B. Simmons, N. Brown, R. Jackson, S. O’Connor, G. Daniel, C. Suidgeest, R. Brown, K. Arendarcikas.
