After a win at Albury on Friday, the Hellen Scott-trained mare proved far too good for her rivals once more.

Dictating terms from a good draw, the five-year-old went on to take out the Wayne Milgate Videos Pace (1760m) by almost 10 metres.

Reinsman John Scott was impressed with her efforts.

“She was travelling pretty easy and on the line she had a bit left but she’s a funny horse,” Scott said.

“She switches off and waits for them.”

Scott believes the injury-plagued daughter of For A Reason has a bright future if she stays sound.

She spent over two years off the track breaking a pastern bone in both her hind legs.

However she’s come back in fine form with four wins and a placing in seven starts for the Scott.

He expects she can continue to work through her grades.

“On what she works at home I think she could be a real nice mare later on if she stands up and nothing goes wrong,” Scott said.

“She has broke both of her back pasterns.

“She broke one back pastern, had it operated on and went to the paddock for a spell then came back and was ready to race again but broke the other back pastern, had it operated on and came back.

“She has been a bit of a headache but they’ve persisted with her as she’s always shown a fair bit of ability.

“She’s a very high speed horse at home and once she’s had a spell after this preparation and learnt about racing I think she’ll be a better horse next time.”

The chance could come as early as Friday with the mare engaged at Wagga.

Shes’ drawn barrier barrier seven in a heat of the C2-C4 series for locally trained horses.

How see comes through the run will determine whether she looks to make it three wins for the week.

“If she doesn’t eat up then I probably won’t send her around on Friday,” Scott said.

“It all depends if she eats up and recovers good.

“At this stage she will still go around and she’s going to get a lovely run behind the one and I think Trevor White’s horse (Always In Command) will lead.”

Successes were shared across the seven races, but the Junee locals had plenty to cheer about.

Jordan Seary drove Blake On Fire to victory for Kevin Medlyn, Trevor White won with La Gesture while Matthew Harris scored a good win with Bemajor.

Rockita then capped off the night by winning her first race for Saul and Bayley Duck.
