Brendan McMartin, the lead pastor, said the event was all about telling the story of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ.
“This is our second year running this event and last year surprised us with how big it was,” he said.
“We packed the place out with 700 people. We have put things in place to make sure we can seat people so everyone can come.”
Mr McMartin said it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate “the reason for the season which is Jesus”.
“It’s also a great family event,” he said. “We are blessed in our church to have many talented dancers and singers who will perform.”
Bobby Gardener, youth and volunteer coordinator, said the event will be followed by a carnival.
“There will be many food stalls, live music, and free rides for all the kids,” he said. “There will be a fusion of food including Greek and Indian. Santa Claus will be here on his sleigh.”
Mr McMartin and Mr Gardener said all are welcome and the event is free and they’re planning to host a crowd.
“We’re hoping to beat last year,” he said.
The Christmas Spectacular is this Sunday from 5pm at Inspire Church Wagga, with the carnival kicking off from 6pm. Doors open at 4.30pm.
