The Bulldogs were bowled out for 117 at Wagga Cricket Ground on Saturday and failed to pick up a wicket in the 20 overs before stumps.
Colts will resume at 0-36 with Daniel Perri (21) and Dave Bolton (13) at the crease, so the cellar dwellers have got a hard road ahead of them.
However Sam Perry is hoping RSL can turn things around quickly.
“Last was very obviously very, very disappointing,” Perry said. “We bowled pretty well but just couldn’t get a wicket as the two openers Daniel Perri and Dave Bolton did exactly what they had to do and not lose a wicket in the first 20 overs to really set themselves up.
“If anyone has the game to lose it is probably them and they’ve got themselves into a pretty good position but cricket is a funny game and if we can get two or three early wickets, with Dave Bolton obviously being the key, who knows what can happen.”
Things started positively with Ethan Perry (21) and Todd Henderson (16) at the top but they struggled to put partnerships together and slumped to the low total.
Captain James Richards is away with Beau Wright, returning from representative commitments with the army, coming back into the side.
