Wagga police are investigating the cause of a boat fire in Forest Hill on Wednesday morning.

About 6.10am, the Forest Hill Rural Fire Brigade were called to the scene of a speedboat being alight.
Riverina Rural Fire Service operation officer Bradley Stewart said two crews attended where they found the fire in the front yard of a resident’s home.
“The homeowner had already extinguished the fire and our units made the scene safe by making sure it was fully extinguished,” Mr Stewart said.
“This included making sure there were no remaining hot spots.
“Crews departed at about 7am after handing the incident over to police.”
Fire damage was confined to the boat and its contents.
There were no reports of injuries.
Turvey Park Fire Station was also called but were stood down.
