Two of Southern District’s most exciting staying prospects, Lady Mironton and Nothin’ Like Harry, will be joined by Short in the field.
Lady Mironton and Nothin’ Like Harry opened up $5.00 equal favourites with TAB on Wednesday.
Wagga trainer Wayne Carroll has secured Brenton Avdulla to ride Lady Mironton, while Blaike McDougall will use his two kilogram metropolitan claim on Nothin’ Like Harry.
The David Blundell-trained Short is a $26 chance.
The Southern District flavour at Rosehill does not end there.
Wagga stayer Zarlu will contest the $125,000 Country Classic (2000m). He is drawn barrier 18 for Wagga apprentice jockey Stacey Metcalfe.
Smart Albury galloper Lord Von Costa will compete in the $125,000 Benchmark 88 Handicap (1300m). McDougall will take the ride.
