Having not dived competitively for almost 30 years, Henderson won gold in both the one metre and three metre springboard events.
Henderson represented NSW and Australia, claiming victory in the 40-49 years age group by 38 and 52 points respectively.
Divers from Canada took home the silver and bronze medals.
Henderson’s interest in diving was reignited late last year when her two sons, Josh and Finn, decided to try diving. She was persuaded to get back on the boards, surprising herself with her form.
Henderson plans to return to Wagga to compete, along with her sons, in the NSW Country Diving Championships that will be held in the city in January.
She is looking forward to the event as it was the Country Diving Championships in Wagga back in 1980 that started her career.
Henderson gave up competitive diving to concentrate on university and her career after representing Wagga, NSW and Australia many times.
She is now a leading NSW Medical Negligence Lawyer, practising in Sydney.
