The 17-year-old wicketkeeper-batsmen made 106 to start the two-day match with Campbelltown-Camden.
It was by far his best performance in second grade since making the move this season.
His previous best was 20, scored in the previous week.
He’s also scored 90 runs at 15.00 in the Poidevin-Gray Shield.
Staines made his first grade debut in the Twenty20 competition up against David Warner earlier this month and the next round is this weekend.
