There are full fields in each of the eight races including three rewards series heats for CO horses (with the final next Saturday at Junee).
Temora will next race on Saturday January 5, ahead of its showpiece meeting a week later highlighted by the $15,000 Temora Pacers Cup. Another two meetings are scheduled for February.
Local trainers Ray Walker and Garry Harpley will be represented. Walker’s Rocknroll Da Gama is chasing its first win in the IGA 3YO Pace, after four placings in six starts. Harpley has Temora Reactor in the Temora Capital Chemist Pace.
Bruce Harpley’s Miss Gold Fortune is chasing a third win at Temora in the South West Ford Pace. Having had success there in early 2016 and early 2017, it’s the Junee pacer’s last shot at a 2018 calendar win at the track.
Coleambally’s Blake Jones was the joint-leading driver at the track last year, with four wins (along with Mitch Turnbull). He has drives in all but two races on Saturday night.
Bathurst’s Amanda Turnbull was the leading trainer at Temora last season (three wins). Nathan Turnbull is bringing Reverse Psychology in the opening event and I’m Quite American in the three-year-old pace.
Canberra trainer Frank O’Sullivan has his last-start Canberra winner Pinktastic in one of the heats.
