Wednesday November 14 saw an impressive 180 individual award winners recognised at the school’s annual sports presentation day – almost one-fifth of the school’s total student body.
An impressive 76 students also represented Riverina at the various New South Wales Combined High Schools (NSWCHS) state carnivals in 2018.
Damon Hurst alone was in four different regional teams including athletics, cross country, under 15s touch football and opens hockey.
With a handful of Wagga All Schools Championships under their belt, Wagga High went on to collect two Riverina title, including the school Boccia team which finished third in the state.
The under 16 girls rugby side were also Riverina Champions and travelled to Sydney for the NSWCHS Finals.
They faced some tough competition from other schools throughout NSW and eventually placed fifth in the state.
The 15s AFL Swan Shield side also travelled to Wollongong after qualifying for the top eight teams in the NSWCHS Knock Out.
