The Botanic Gardens celebrated its 50th anniversary on Sunday, with what seemed like half of Wagga rolling in for the fun.
There was entertainment to last the day as well as bands, choirs, acrobats, rides, food, and of course the Willans Hill train rides.
The council’s director of commercial operations Caroline Angel said Sunday’s event was the third and final of the 50 years’ celebrations.
“This is one of the most-loved assets in Wagga, and we’ve invested a lot this year in upgrading a lot of the areas, so it’s a perfect day for the families to come along,” Ms Angel said.
“We tried to make sure we had something for everyone from the very young ones, with the colouring competition and planting a little pot, through to our businesses, who could host a pop-up garden display.”
